What is it that you'd love to change about the
weight and shape you are - and why?
Your list will probably contain a few of these:-
You feel you're unattractive, and it damages your chances of a good relationship.
You can't get stylish clothes that fit you.
Your previous attempts at dieting and weight control have failed.
You feel self-conscious - you imagine people disrespect or laugh at you.
More and more companies place restrictions on their employees' weight.
Being overweight is bad for you - it strains your heart and other organs.
With all that motivation to help you reach the weight and shape you want, you'd expect that dieting and weight control would be quite easy, wouldn't you?
Not so.

Bad eating habits start, not with the body, but in the mind.
Unless you have a medical condition such as a problem with your glands, the reason why even with dieting you can struggle to get your weight and body shape the way you want them is because you consume more calories in food and drink than you expend in energy.
The way to take control of your weight and body shape's to take in fewer calories and give out more in energy, such as in extra exercise. No matter what dieting or exercise system you might use, that's the essence of what it will be telling you to do.
Most people don't want to work on dieting and take more exercise. They want a magic formula that will avoid the need for doing that.

First, let's look at why you find it hard to control your calorie intake in first place.
The temptation starts in childhood.
Parents offer cakes and ice-cream as a treat. From a very early age, a cake becomes a symbol of approval. Not only does it taste great, but it boosts your self-esteem. By the time you go to school, cakes equal confidence.
Dieting does not.
At school, the other kids aren't dieting - they're eating crisps and toffee, snacks and chocolate bars. You have to do the same, or you're not cool.
Guess what? Before you know it, crisps, etc. are a symbol of acceptance by your peer group. Crisps now also equal confidence... and dieting still doesn't.
When you leave home or school, it's even worse, and dieting gets even harder. In a college course, a new job, a new apartment, maybe in a strange town, you feel lost at first - but one thing's just the same. As soon as you taste the high-calorie food that you've equated with self-esteem and confidence before, you feel much better.
The pattern stays the same.
You break up with someone? You console yourself with food.
You feel lonely, miserable, fed up? You eat for comfort.
Something happens that's worth celebrating? You reach for the champagne and gāteau.
You go on holiday? You check out the very richest local food.
That's because deep in your subconscious mind you still associate rich food and drink, not dieting, with self-esteem, acceptance, comfort, confidence and pleasure.
Controlling your food intake becomes associated with being deprived of comfort and approval.
The problem is, the more high-calorie stuff you eat and drink and the greater its effect on weight and body shape, the more your confidence and self-esteem will nose-dive... and even though you know the only way to reach the weight and figure that you really want is to cut down on the kinds of food and drink that make you put on weight, you can't, because deep within your inner mind, you still believe you need them to have confidence.
Everyone needs confidence - the problem is, your subconscious, inner mind's got used to the idea that the way to get it is by eating and drinking the wrong things.
Your inner mind's the part that controls your actions, impulses, motivation, thoughts and pretty nearly everything you do. That means that every time your confidence could use a boost (and for most people, that's every day), it's prompting you to eat a lot of something fattening... and the more you fight against it, the harder it will try to make you do it.
Well, the good news is, there is a way - and it's a whole lot easier than you might think.
